Recycled Dress

New Year's resolution to clean out my closet is currently in progress. I actually started before NYE, gasp! My closet is such a hideous mess it is going to be a project undertaken in baby steps to avoid entering a state of full shock.

Plan of attack:

1. Clean out goodies for the Swapaholics swap next week.
2. Sort additional goodies into bags for The Closet, Raspberry Beret, and my hip cousin.
3. Revamp tiny space into closet mecca by installing new shoe organizers, putting all coats into garment bags by season and adding cute accessory organizers and bins for the clutter.

I am exhausted just thinking about it, but will try to persevere.

The moral of this rather long resolution and story is that you uncover gems that have been hidden away, or truthfully wedged between some of my husband's shirts, and forgotten about like this Free People dress (paired with my YSL sandals and Top Shop earrings). I bought this last year at Mint Julep for a trip to NYC.  Husband took me to Le Bernardin to celebrate our first anniversary. Stodgy, conservative atmosphere be damned, I wanted to look hot for Eric Ripert (whom I harbor a minor crush for).

The rediscovering of this dress worked perfectly for New Year's, when I rocked it again! Just enough well timed inspiration to keep me on track with the project.

Excellent project and excellent point...what is lurking in there?? Probably all sorts of gems we've forgotten about.
Good luck Noelani!

Love the shoes, love the dress, love the post, and, love that you're coming to the swap! I have to confess: I also have a major/minor crush on Eric Ripert, and am so jealous you went to Le Bernardin. My husband and I went to his restaurant in Grand Cayman and are still talking about the meal...and I had similar fashion dilemmas figuring out what to wear to his Ritz franchise. Don't even get me started on stalking Tony Bourdain last week in Southie... :) ~ M

I'll need all the luck I can get with operation closet!

I am very excited for the swap though and even more excited that I am not alone in my love for all things Eric Ripert! He's so dreamy....he could just recite recipes to me all day long and it would be amazing.

Great find, I like those shoes too. i need to clean out my closet too, I have a small closet so i always discover new things there, some never worn. I don't know why I even bother going shopping, I should just look in my closet.
