Gatsby Shoot

Last weekend I had the opportunity to help out a dear friend, Emily Starr of mStarr Event Styling & Design, with styling a wedding shoot for her new event design career and venture.

The theme? The Great Gatsby of course! Deco fabulousness is literally everywhere I turn. I am prepared to meet it head on with some loose waves, a faux bob and bold red lip.

Emily's vision was otherworldly. Staged at Elm Bank in Wellesley, the once grand mansion on the grounds served as the picture perfect backdrop for her Gatsby wedding day vision. 

I not only styled the clothing for the shoot, but pulled double duty as blushing bride. Along for the ride were my hilarious and gorgeous bridesmaids, Kristen of The Boston Fashionista and Michele of Michele's Musings. 

Playing dress up in over the top designer gowns, check (thanks to Bloomingdales, Laura Preshong, and Michael DePaulo!). Drinking pink champagne, noshing on macarons and lavender caramels, double check, and double the fun channeling my inner Daisy.
