Trying to beat the doldrums of work with a red lip this week. It worked the trick on Monday, sadly, lightning did not strike twice yesterday. But then again my outfit wasn't as fun as this bird print frock and it was much grayer and more rainy outside.

So I resorted to copious amounts of wine and a chocolate chip cookie binge (maybe it was retaliation for my attempt at healthy eating and the kale salad I posted Monday?!). Woman can not live on kale alone. I suppose the two will have to cancel each other out.....

You may remember this dress from a brief appearance it made at the Rag and Bone event a few weeks ago? I bought it that day on an outing to Flock in the South End. Budget friendly enough to squeeze it in with all our renovations, proper enough to wear to work, and flirty enough for date night out with husband. I'd say this was a sound purchase all in all.

How about you, do you find an outfit or bright lip color can improve your mood? How have you combatted this yuck weather?

PS, shots are taken in our back yard with the flower beds I am attempting to tame. Did I mention I can barely tell a flower from a weed? At least it's good exercise!
