The Prints of Summer

Above: J Crew short and tunic (check out this gorgeous Tory Burch version), Juicy Couture espadrille (via Marshalls), Target bag, Karen Walker sunglasses, Persifor bracelet (c/o)

This leopard short has become a neutral staple for the steamy summer days. It goes great with stripes, polka dots, and oddly, palm beach patterned tunics. If you've seen me lately, I was probably wearing some version of this outfit.

The J Crew shorts were a great steal, extra 40% off sale this past week....where, I confess, I may have picked up a few other items as well. They are taunting me with fall items already too, their latest catalogue is just a feast for the eye and begs me to part with hard earned dollar bills.

Aside from some online sale binges, we had a lovely weekend, full of food, friends and family. We've been cooking in a lot (my attempt to save money for online shopping, hah!) and enjoying the new house to the fullest. I finally found the perfect painting for the living room at Skinner and can't wait to get it up and take some shots of the finished space- once we line up a car big enough to transport it that is, the painting is a whopping 6x5 feet!

As part of operation eat in, I cooked up a Greek feast for the ages and will be eating leftovers all week. I am happy to report that my first attempt at moussaka has been regaled as totally triumphant by husband.

Stay tuned, recipes to come in the following weeks for some of the dishes.
