Currently Obsessing: Nesting Blues

You know that feeling you get when a major project winds down? Kind of deflated, like what's next?  I remember it well when I was suddenly home from my honeymoon with no more wedding to plan.  I am feeling something similar with things coming to an end (for now) with the renovations on the house. Perhaps it is subconsciously creeping into my design? I never had an affinity for blue, but it has been working its way into every room.

Above:

Chinoiserie tea pot, snatched from my family farm and repurposed as a vase.

Tout Petits Canelles, picked up in Montreal, and a fun exercise in translating & baking!

Lion salt cellar, courtesy of my mother who is a salt-aholic. Check out all the cool salt cellars available from Etsy (here)

Venetian mirror with blue accents, purchased from Skinner Auctions. I have had this mirror for months, and only now figured out how to safely hang it, thanks to my handy father in law. It's unique and the first thing people see when they walk in the house. Check out this similar option via Etsy.

Umbrella stand, via China Fair. Ever been to China Fair? Well worth a trip to Cambridge....scour their ceramic options, endless patterns, random kitchen appliances and gadgets, and of course, giant ceramic umbrella stands with Grecian inspired design and colors.
