New England Wedding Ready with Milly

Mr. MpChouChou and I adventured out to Connecticut for a lovely wedding a few weeks ago and I knew, I just knew, this was my time to finally break out my nautical Milly chevron gown (that I purchased and tried on here last year at Mint Julep).

Yes, this beauty has been hiding away in my closet all year, waiting for the right beach side wedding.

I was initially a little nervous it was too much dress, too much print, too loud....but I forged ahead, knowing I loved it, and I am happy I did. I have never received so many compliments on a dress. In fact,  most people told me to ditch the wrap entirely (which I donned for modesties sake in the church) and let the dress shine.

Trust your gut. It's usually right. As was the happy couple, such a gorgeous day!!
