Sometimes, I make pastry just to eat the batter.
Brownies, pretty much a given. And when it comes to cake batter, this cupcake recipe from Ina Garten pretty much....well takes the cake.
Not only does this recipe make a TON of batter (in fact, I'll admit it probably makes a little too much but when the goal is to consume the batter this is a plus), but it makes a mean, as in utterly delicious, cupcake.
