Tila March X David Hicks

The splashy bright designs of iconic seventies interior designer David Hicks play very well with the classic shapes and designs of Tila March handbags. The capsule collection is the creative love child of Tamara Taichman, collaborating along with Ashley Hicks (David Hicks' son). Be on the look out for these lovely totes, camera bags and clutches as the brilliant (literally and figuratively) collaboration for fall debuts.
Tila March has been a longtime favourite line of mine, but the designs are notoriously hard to find state side (her boutique being based out of Paris). I have long lamented not purchasing some of chic line from the dearly departed Looc boutique in the South End. I am so often saying this! Le sigh.
Via Vogue: “The seventies is one of my favorite decades for fashion,” says Paris–based designer and stylist Tamara Taichman, who mined prints from the Hicks archive for her Tila March handbags. “Women were mixing prints in all variations. There were no limitations in creative expression, and that for me is what fashion is all about.”
Should you find yourself in Paris, be sure to check out the pop up shop in the Marais or stop by Colette, who also carries the collab. We have our friends at Barneys to thank for bringing these beauties state side.
