Malachite Musings

Townhouse of Jorge Almada and Anne-Marie Midy/Elle Decor

Malachite. Semi-precious. Emerald green color variants- also Pantone's color of the year. And down right pretty, am I right?

I first became mildly obsessed with mistress malachite when I saw the roman blinds in the above Elle Decor spread, from the stunning townhouse of Jorge Almada and Anne-Marie Midy. I managed to track down the cloth, as part of the Tony Duquette Collection, from Jim Thompson (the original seen in the chair, item 1, which is sadly, listed as sold on 1st dibs). Perhaps someday when the living room is due for an upgrade I can have some of these made, but until then, I will have to satisfy myself with some small objects of beauty and perhaps a luxe book set from the man now synonymous with the material.
